Neutex LED Lighting is planning a major expansion to its corporate headquarters, manufacturing and warehouse facility in north Houston. The facility, at 15700 Vickery Drive near George Bush Intercontinental Airport, is currently 48,600 square feet, and the company plans to add another 30,000 square feet. Neutex LED Lighting, a member of the Neutex Advanced Energy Group of companies, designs, manufactures and sells LED lighting solutions. Neutex LED Lighting plans to send out a bid package to general contractors in April and break ground in the fourth quarter of 2015, according to a spokesman. The one-story project is expected to cost $1.65 million. The new space will allow the company to expand its product line, including its Neutex PetroChemical products. The expansion includes a dedicated lab, NTX Labs, to research, develop, prototype and test products, plus a fourth LED-fixture manufacturing room. Other improvements will include an expanded warehouse to allow for more inventory on hand, larger staff facilities, a meeting room and two new management offices. Launched in 2007, Neutex LED Lighting is led by John Higgins, president and founder. Source: Houston Businees Journal
